Flourishing

About the assessment

What the Flourishing Assessment measures, how scoring works, and where the questions come from.

How it works

  1. One question sets your track

You start by telling us what you want more of: better sleep, less stress, more strength, sharper focus. That single answer personalizes how your results are framed. Nothing else about the assessment changes.

  2. 134 research-backed questions

You then answer 134 questions, one at a time, drawn from 18 research instruments. It takes about fifteen minutes, and you can close the tab and resume later.

  3. Seven pillars, three domains

Your answers are organized into seven pillars of wellness: Rhythm, Nourishment, and Movement (Body); Resilience and Clarity (Mind); Connection and Renewal (Spirit).

  4. One score, with the detail behind it

The pillars roll up into a single Flourishing Score with a tier, plus per-pillar detail showing where you are strong and where there is room to grow. Retake the assessment after 90 days and your report shows what actually moved.

The instruments

The assessment draws on 18 instruments: 7 validated screening tools published in peer-reviewed research, and 11 original indices developed for the Flourishing Assessment. Here is every one of them, what it measures, and where the validated ones come from.

Six questions about morning light, evening screens, and how consistent your daily schedule is. The light you see each day shapes sleep, energy, and mood.

Scientific integrity

The validated instruments are used as published, under their respective terms: some are made available by their publishers at no cost, one is used under an open license with attribution, and for the others we credit the original authors and cite the published research. The original indices were developed in-house for this assessment, informed by established research in each area. Your scores are educational, not diagnostic: no instrument here, alone or in combination, replaces evaluation by a licensed clinician.
